A great t-shirt design is more than a logo on a shirt. It's a walking impression of your business, your team, or your event — and if the artwork isn't print-ready, you'll find that out when the printer calls with bad news the day before your event. Delaware Digital designs custom t-shirt artwork that looks sharp on the shirt and is set up correctly for the printing method you're using, whether that's screen printing, direct-to-garment (DTG), or embroidery.
We work with businesses and organizations across Wilmington, Newark, Dover, and the entire Delaware tri-state region — from solo entrepreneurs ordering 12 shirts for a launch event to companies running ongoing branded uniform programs.
Quick answer: What's included in a custom t-shirt design?
You get a custom graphic created to your brief, two to three rounds of revisions, and final delivery as vector files (AI/EPS) plus a high-resolution PNG — sized and formatted to your printer's specs. Color separations and Pantone callouts are available for screen printing runs.
What we design and deliver
Every t-shirt design project results in artwork that your printer can actually use — not a low-resolution image that has to be redrawn at the shop:
- Custom t-shirt graphics — original artwork built around your concept, your brand, or the event you're promoting. We work from your brief, your existing logo, or a sketch on a napkin.
- Print-ready vector files — delivered as Adobe Illustrator (.ai) and .eps, so the design can be scaled to any size without losing quality. Every screen printer and DTG vendor can work with these.
- High-resolution PNG with transparent background — for mockups, digital proofs, and vendors who prefer raster files. Typically 300 DPI or higher at final print dimensions.
- Screen print color separations — each ink color separated on its own layer, with Pantone color callouts if your shop requires them. This eliminates reprints caused by color matching errors.
- DTG and embroidery optimization — DTG printing handles full-color gradients differently than screen printing; embroidery requires a digitized file altogether. We prepare the right file type for your method.
Who we design t-shirts for
We work with a wide range of clients on t-shirt and apparel design projects:
- Delaware businesses — company uniforms, staff shirts, customer appreciation merchandise, and trade show giveaways that reinforce your brand off the screen.
- Teams and organizations — sports teams, school clubs, church groups, and nonprofits that need cohesive, professional-looking apparel on a budget that makes sense for a limited run.
- Events — 5Ks, festivals, reunions, corporate retreats, and conferences. We work fast when you have a hard event date — and we'll tell you upfront if the timeline is tight.
- Fundraisers — schools, nonprofits, and community organizations selling branded merchandise to raise money. We can design artwork that works across multiple products (t-shirts, hoodies, hats) from a single brief.
"We needed 200 shirts for our company picnic in two weeks. Delaware Digital turned around a design in two days, made our revision changes the same afternoon, and sent print-ready files directly to our screen printer. Zero stress."

How the process works
Most single-design projects complete in three to five business days:
- Brief — tell us what you're making, who it's for, the printing method, your color count (for screen printing), and any brand guidelines or existing logos to incorporate.
- Design — we develop the artwork and present an initial concept. Two to three rounds of revisions are included.
- File delivery — once approved, we deliver the full file package formatted for your printer. We can also send files directly to your vendor on your behalf.
Rush delivery is available for urgent deadlines — contact us with your date and we'll confirm availability before starting.
Common questions
Do you print the shirts, or just design them?
We design the artwork and deliver print-ready files. We work with screen printers and DTG vendors across Delaware and can coordinate the full production process — design through delivered shirts — or hand off files to your preferred printer. Either way, you get artwork that any printer can use without extra prep.
Can you design from just my logo?
Yes. Many clients come to us with a logo they want adapted for apparel — placed, sized, and formatted correctly for the printing method. We can also build a complete custom design around your brand if you want something original rather than a straight logo placement.
What if I need shirts in multiple styles — t-shirts, hoodies, hats?
We can design artwork that works across multiple garment types in a single project. Different placements and sizing conventions apply to each product; we handle that in the file package so your printer can run everything from the same order.
Do you work with my screen printer, or do I need to use yours?
We work with your existing vendor. We'll ask what file format and spec they require and deliver files that meet their setup exactly. If you don't have a printer yet, we can recommend shops we've worked with in the Delaware/Pennsylvania region.
